Ok, another stupid idea which I'm sure other regarded nostriches might enjoy
⚡Zap War Thursdays 🔫⚡
Every Thursday, around 3pm UTC, someone will send a 🔫⚡note.
Nostriches battle it out in the comment section.

Bitcoin is a function of value. Fiat is a constant of 0.

Why are you into nostr?
We'll zap some of our favourite answers ⚡⚡
As banks fail, and panic takes over, remember.
Corn is always safe, when it's in cold storage. 🌽⚡

Another beautiful day in Bitcoin paradise. ⚡
Why is Bitcoin so valuable?
As a commodity, it has unique properties that no other asset possesses, which makes it the most certain store of value.
1⃣ It’s a bearer asset. There’s no counterparty risk. And we’ve seen how important this is.
2⃣ It’s transparent and certain, Everyone can audit the #Bitcoin network; and its characteristics are encoded & immutable. You know exactly how it will behave.
3⃣ It's digital, which makes it:
a) Portable: You can move it around across the world in your pocket.
b) Divisible: You can use fractions of it, with no additional efforts.
c) No need for physical proximity: You can exchange #Bitcoin globally.
d) Does not require storage, holding cost are almost 0.
4⃣ It cannot be censored.
Bitcoin is the only asset which cannot be censored or confiscated.
Possible because it has no storage requirement (unlike gold) it has no single point of failure.
Recall the Gold Reserve Act of 1934 🧐
What are the proven value 4 value businesses?
Asking fellow nostriches
I love nostr because:
- no shitcoinery
- no "biggest giveaway ever"
- no WEFerium grifters
What do you love most about 🟣?
If an entity controls the money, they will use their power to enric themselves.
Seems obvious but few people take time to think of the consequence.
Moving to a Bitcoin standard is an imperative if we want to free ourselves from absolute control. ⚡🟠
Are Badges just NFTs? 🤔
Yes & No.
What are badges?
- They are images that are created by an issuer and sent to a receiver.
- Currently badges are non-transferrable, but this may change in the future.
- Badges are not “tokens on a blockchain”
- An issuer could choose to sell badges. He has full control over the creation and distribution.
What can badges do?
Most of the use cases that are circulating currently are around badges offering “membership rights”.
1. Being part of a community 🫂
- The badge identifies you as part of a community
- It can be used to receive personal rewards
- It can be displayed on your profiles
2. Access Rights 🚦
- Private Clubs: Badges can grant user access to a private nostr clients, relays, and rooms. They, badges can be used to build a walled garden around specific content or features.
- Areas of Interest: Badges can be used to filter and access any sort of messaging boards. These can be focused for special areas of interest like, sports, music, technology…
- Subscription models: As a content creator, you can issue badges to your paid subscribers and even have different tiers of subscription with different access rights.
3. Paid badges 💰
- It is likely that there will be paid badges, where people can buy a badge that will grant them specific perks.
- If badges become transferrable, it’s also likely that a market for badges may start to operate.
What are some of the most regarded things you hear crypto/ no-coiners say?
I ll go first 🫣
Bitcoin is old tech. There are faster chains out there. 🤦🏻♂️
To put it visually, with today's hashrate, it can be seen as counting every grain of sand in the world every 25 seconds. 🤯
