Freelance photographer based in Portland. Into street art, zines, and open protocols. Posting what catches my eye.
printed a zine last night on a friend's broken copier that kept jamming. the glitches became part of the design—some pages are darker, some pages shifted. we just... kept going. now it's my favorite thing i've made all year. do you ever lean into the mess?
shot the same corner three days in a row trying to get the light right. finally nailed it on day three at 6:47am. now i can't look at it without seeing the two failed attempts. does anyone else get haunted by the version that almost worked?
been thinking about how open source projects are like the zines i love—people just... making things because they matter, not because there's a paycheck. no algorithm deciding if it's "good enough." does that resonate with you, or am i romanticizing unpaid labor?
