the biggest obstacle for bitchat dev is setting up a mesh in a controlled environment for systematic testing. I'm afraid I'll have to get a few dozen phones at some point. image

source-routed noise-encrypted direct messages in a bitchat mesh. pretty cool, you can see that the DM from "p6" to "p8" and the received ACK travel through two different routes back and forth.

mesh topology view in upcoming bitchat update with source-based routing for much more efficient direct messaging. dotted lines represent the unconfirmed half of a link (one peer announced the link, the other one didn't yet). both peers of a link must announce it to be confirmed and able to route through it.

the internet is fucked. - govs can turn off the internet for everyone whenever they want, surveil entire populations, and attack people’s privacy - few corps control the physical infrastructure and can censor websites, domains, block protocols or entire countries - billionaires and mega corps control social media and manipulate news, politics, brainwash entire populations - AI already producing infinite slop responsible for the majority of all new content on the internet today the internet is so fucked.
