The US dollar has lost ~96% of its purchasing power since the 1940's. Most other fiat currencies lost even more in purchasing power. In 1960, 1 USD = ~2 PHP Today, 1 USD = ~57 PHP Just in my lifetime, I've seen the Philippine Peso go from ~10 PHP to 1 USD to what it is today.

Been really busy for me lately, but I've finally finished @Florin Hilbay's talk about #bitcoin at UP Diliman. I must say, it's good. The talk has the intellectual backing that I'm sure the students and faculty of UP would appreciate. It is difficult for many to even get to this position to understand many the nuances of bitcoin.
