CLN Node Runner Story
____________
I just had an interesting experience trying to start a cln node I hadn't run in a few months
โข right off the bat, I couldn't run the daemon. It simply died with a "KILLED" message
โข journalctl doesn't have daemon logs with my setup
โข the cl.log file hadn't been updated since October last year, so I couldn't figure out where to find fresh logs to even figure why it was dying
How I eventually fixed it:
> ran lightningd from the binary directly and got logs to stdout, noticed there was a backup-plugin data inconsistency
> reinitialized backups to fix
> noticed existing cl.log was exactly 2 GB and the last log line was weirdly truncated, guessed this might be a system max, renamed this file as well
After this the daemon finally came back up from systemd with usable logs... but it was a little bit of sleuthing to figure out, and it was no fun in the interim when I was pretty much blind ๐ณ
Welcome @Krs ๐
Lololll, wait so I'm getting all those "Cannot retrieve tweets" errors because I'm rate limited ๐คฃ
Twitter is so fucked!
It's pretty wild to me that I just implemented dynamic NIP-05 on a domain I own in under 20 lines of code in a repl ๐คฏ
