I was making good progress on a new Woocommerce / @BTCPay Server plugin when Lunanode went down tonight.
So it's an affiliate app. People can earn sats shilling my store. That's not the cool part though.
1. No need to create an account on my site. All you do is take your lightning address and encrypt that with a public key I provide, add it to my store URL. I'll have a page that makes that easy, but you can verify it or do it yourself ๐
The URLs it makes are pretty long, but that's a later problem.
2. When someone buys something after following your link, the plugin decrypts the referral URL, calculates the payout, then sends some API calls to my @BTCPay Server to create a Pull Payment then a Payout Request for that. Then Btcpayserver sends the payment to the lightning address.
3. The plugin confirms that was all done and adds some notes to the order so it doesn't get paid twice.
I'm making this mainly because I hate marketing and want others to do it for me. Also I don't want to have to deal with tracking orders and paying people manually. Set it and forget it.

Orders should start rolling in any minute now. . .

It would be nice if, when I like or zap a note, the app would just go ahead and follow the OP.

Oh! I didn't know Shogun was a Bitcoin book!
"Blackthorne had asked for a chair. But the priest said that the Japanese did not use chairs, and there were none in Japan."
My unrealized gains are infinite dollars.
Black Myth: Wukong is so good!
Just deployed a fresh @BTCPay Server during my lunch hour, from my phone. Connected my DNS and my external LND node. Resetup NIP05 address, lightning address for zaps. Ready to connect to the shop as soon as blocks sync.
Practice setting up and using the tools. It will make maintaining them easier and you'll be able to help if someone needs it.
Fuck yeah ๐
