Follow-up: the in-game Lightning wallet — here's what's happening under the hood when you zap inside the district Every Nostr District account gets a self-custodial Lightning wallet automatically via Breez. No signup, no separate seed phrase — your nsec is your wallet. How it works: First login asks your signer (nsec / extension / bunker) to sign one fixed Nostr event. The signature is hashed via HKDF into a 12-word BIP39 mnemonic that seeds a Spark wallet (Breez SDK), and a Lightning address gets registered — usually <yourname>@breez.tips. The mnemonic is then NIP-44 encrypted to your own pubkey and published as a kind:30078 event. Log in on any browser with the same nsec, the app pulls that event from relays, decrypts it, and you're on the same wallet. Same identity → same wallet, everywhere. Zap routing: * Zaps sent inside Nostr District land in your in-game wallet. We publish a separate kind:30078 mapping your pubkey → in-game lud16, and our client looks there first. * Zaps from Damus / Amethyst / Primal go wherever your kind:0 lud16 points. We never modify your profile. If you want external zaps to land in the in-game wallet too, copy the LN address from the wallet panel into your kind:0 manually — we don't do it silently because overwriting kind:0 could wipe your bio, picture, NIP-05, etc. Treat it as a hot wallet.
