how come using your mobile wallet with your bitcoin full node is still difficult? you gotta install the right version of electrum personal server that’s still maintained or else go for blockbook. really cumbersome. wish bitcoin core could add the extra indexing as an opt-in feature, so then you can scan a qr code with your phone and connect.

nothing humbles your ego better than a free market that contradicts your expectations. it can’t be and it won’t be “up only”, you gotta stomach brutal dips too!

bitcoin couldn’t exist in the absence of a fiat economy not just because it wouldn’t be necessary under a gold standard but without money printing incentivizing investors to beat inflation, it would take much longer to mass produce computers & spread internet adoption
