Okay so I'm studying Spanish, an it makes me wonder if I understand English. Let me explain... One of the first words you'll be taught in a Spanish course is the Spanish word "estar". Estar means "to be". Sounds easy so far right‽ Define "to be". Remember, don't use the word in your definition. I think it's cheating to use words with those words in its definition. That would be circular reasoning. And maybe I'm over thinking this but I'm wondering how I would teach a non-speaker, maybe a baby, the concept "to be". I raised to speaking kids to adulthood. Today, I want to complain about the industrial mailbox complex. The State requires you to buy a mailbox, and once it's installed it becomes theirs. It's legal magic, don't ask. Someone ran over mine/theirs, I suspect the UPS driver, but the evidence is circumstancial Without the mailbox they won't deliver. The cheapest I could get away with to replace it was about 100 bucks plus taxes. This is so insane...! Anywho, gonna spend the next hour in free labor to the State... This really sucks. What‽ How can this be? It's almost like all the fear mongering was an attempt to manipulate the masses; like public servants were/are pulling the wool over the public's eyes all the time.

So if your vote never creates the outcome you expect, why do you do it? Is it because you think this time it will be different? This time they will listen to me, to us. But even when you win things never change. They still steal from you, control you, and fund wars that kill strangers that were never going to harm you. Big donors grease both sides of the aisle. So even when you win, you lose. No matter who loses they win. The greater evil, the lesser evil, their both just evil. So why do you go through the ritual of voting? Because it conditions you to obey. You participated in the selection of a new master. Win or lose you elected the new master whom you will obey. After all that's how Democracy works. Right? That's what good patriots do anyway.
