🏠 Big topic at the upcoming Productivity Conference: taxing imputed rental income! 🤯 This is the rent you would’ve paid if you didn’t own your home, now counted as taxable income. Imagine being taxed for cooking your own meal instead of eating out! 🍳 If your home could rent for $2,000/month, that’s your “imputed” income—taxed, even though no cash is earned. It’s like getting a bill for the value of your home-cooked dinner. Some countries (like Switzerland) already do this to balance homeowner-renter tax rules, but it’s sparking debate. Is this fair? #imputedrent #straya #financialfreedom #Australia #straya #austrich image

Another attack hits Melbourne. More "propaganda" incoming—now they’ll be eyeing kitchen knives & pruning shears for bans! Guns, pocket knives, pepper spray, Leatherman tools, & machetes (20cm+ blades) already outlawed. It’s a game to the gov, but it’s our family, friends, & neighbors suffering. #MelbourneCrime #WeaponBans #VictoriaPolitics #CrimeWave #AussieNews image

The USA stockpile of gold is valued at $45 an ounce. Currently gold is $3400. They plan to revalue this asset and buy Bitcoin. They got 8,133 metric tons. That's $975.40 billion worth today. At a 50% ltv of they went that way that is still a shit load of Bitcoin. If that's correct... Interesting future.

Australia’s Chains Never Broke: From Convict Whips to Digital Muzzles Australia’s story is etched in blood and iron. Between 1788 and 1868, the British Empire shipped 162,000 convicts—petty thieves, debtors, and rebels—to our shores, forcing them to carve out roads, bridges, and cities under the lash. Even after the 1834 Slavery Abolition Act, this brutal labor system persisted for 34 years, a thinly veiled continuation of exploitation dressed up as “punishment.” On Tasmania’s beaches, the cat-o’-nine-tails tore flesh to ribbons, leaving men and women to fester without medicine, some dying in agony. Port Arthur’s torture camps didn’t just break bodies; they crushed spirits, all to build a colony for empire and profit. Worse still, the Palawa people of Tasmania watched this horror unfold on their sacred lands. A peaceful society, they faced genocide as British settlers and soldiers massacred thousands, slashing their numbers from 3,000–8,000 to mere hundreds by 1833. The Black War wasn’t a war—it was extermination, sanctioned by martial law and cloaked as “civilizing” progress. Across the seas, “blackbirding” kidnapped 60,000 South Sea Islanders for Queensland’s plantations, many dying under conditions so brutal they rivaled the worst of slavery. In West Papua, 500,000 Papuans have perished since the 1960s under Indonesian rule, a genocide echoing our own history. Even today, New Caledonia’s Kanak people face colonial oppression, with 2024’s deadly riots exposing France’s iron grip. This is Australia’s foundation: convict chains, Indigenous blood, and stolen lives. It’s a history that screams one truth—governments, given unchecked power, will crush the vulnerable to build their empires. And make no mistake, the echoes of that tyranny are growing louder. Look around. In 2024, Australia’s government pushed the Social Media Minimum Age bill, barring kids under 16 from platforms under the guise of “safety.” Critics call it what it is: censorship by stealth, a step toward controlling what we say and think. The eSafety Commissioner’s power to scrub online content already looms large, threatening free speech. Victoria’s 262-day COVID lockdowns—the world’s longest—bled the economy $700 million a week while trampling liberties. Anti-protest fines up to $2,000 and prison abuses, flagged by Amnesty International, show the state’s heavy hand. New surveillance laws, like the 2024 Electronic Surveillance Framework and Cyber Security Act, let governments pry deeper into our lives, all justified by “security.” Taxation, too, feels like a shakedown—average rates hit 24.3% in 2024–25, with $187 million funneled to ATO fraud hunts, turning citizens into suspects. Globally, it’s no better. The UK’s Online Safety Act jails people for social media posts, turning dissent into a crime. France’s Olympic surveillance fuels hate crimes, and 45% of nations, including Australia, curb protests to silence voices. These aren’t accidents—they’re the same old playbook: control, suppress, erase. But we Australians are different. We know our history. We’ve seen the whips, the massacres, the lies. We know what governments are capable of when power goes unchecked. They won’t exterminate us—they don’t need to. They want compliance, silence, and control. Digital muzzles replace iron chains, but the goal is the same: to make us bend. This is our wake-up call. Our ancestors—convicts who endured, Palawa who fought—demand we resist. Speak out, vote, organize, challenge every law that tightens the noose. History shows what happens when we stay silent: empires rise, and the vulnerable fall. Let’s break the cycle. Let’s honor the blood-soaked foundations of this land by fighting for a future where no one is chained, silenced, or erased. The time to stand is now—before the past becomes our present. Simo. image
