We are coming to the end of another unique year. You have a couple of weeks left, to let it all go. Let go of worry, what will be will be. Let go of regret, what’s done is done. Let go of anger, it’s prolonging your pain. Let it all go and make way. You cant reach for the new, if your arms are full of yesterday’s baggage. We can’t go back, my friends, but we can move on, lightly, without that load. So... Let it all go, set it all down. It’s dragging you back. And you're not going back, You’re going forward. So go forward, with peace. You did what you did, life gave what it gave, and we are who we are. March on… Love first. ~ Donna Ashworth from 'Wild Hope' ~ Donna Ashworth ~ Art by Lucy Grossmith image

"Snow rollers in the USA were probably being phased out about 100 years ago, except in the more rural pockets. Their purpose was to pack down the snow on roads to make it easier for sleighs to travel, and even after the early cars and trucks came into use, many of them were stored for the winter in favor of horse drawn sleighs and pungs, which were basically work sleds. When the road crews came to a covered bridge they had to hand shovel snow from outside onto the wooden roadway, a process that my father remembered being called “snowing the bridge.” Obviously cars and sleighs couldn’t easily coexist, so at some point snow rollers went out of business, as did the sleighs. I have never seen a snow roller in full gear, just the roller part abandoned to rot away in a pasture in South Royalton, Vermont decades ago." Above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you, because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it. ~Roald Dahl Art by GhostyGRM image

There is a clever remix of Dickens characters in a free with Prime TV series from 2016 called 'Dickensian.' If you are familiar with 'A Christmas Carol' and 'Bleak House', you will notice that some of those characters that were not alive in the beginning of those stories are featured in this one; for example, Jacob Marley is still alive in the beginning. https://www.amazon.com/Dickensian/dp/B0C9PHKV15 #entertainment #classicliterature #CharlesDickens

Blessed be the wild ones who dance loudly in the quiet and sing softly in the noise of turbulence. Quench their souls in magic and baptize them in amusement that charges the heart and elevates the joy. Thank them for their sparkle and enthusiastic way. Life would be a dull void without a little wild in our day. Jody Doty ©2024 Meditations and Musings by Jody Doty 🎨 Maja Lindberg image

" If you were to ask me how I found my way through the most difficult parts of my life, I would tell you this, ‘I pay attention to beauty’. And by this, I mean that I have taught myself how to look for the details that make up the delicate bones of the world around me, the things that tiptoe quietly on gentle feet, that don’t announce their presence in a loud voice ." ~Liezel Graham image

"This 'Great Bear of the Starry Heavens' was painted during the Winter Solstice inspired by the night scenes and the dark of this time of year. This features many symbols sacred to Druids: sacred spirals, the full moon, the black bear, Ursa Major, evergreens, and deep roots that are not damaged by the frost." - Druids Garden image
