⚡️🧊 FUN FACT - Bitcoin’s source code is stored in the Arctic permafrost… in an archive designed to last 1,000 years. In 2020, GitHub selected active public repositories from numerous open-source projects for its Arctic Code Vault. In total, approximately 21 terabytes of data were recorded on 186 reels of archival film and then transported to Svalbard, a Norwegian archipelago located in the Arctic. Among the projects preserved was Bitcoin’s source code, alongside Linux and Python, among others. On July 8, 2020, these archives were deposited in a former coal mine buried deep within the mountain and protected by permafrost. The goal was to create a physical backup capable of remaining readable for centuries, even if the platforms and technologies used today were to eventually disappear. Obviously, it is neither users’ BTC nor their private keys that are stored beneath the Arctic. It is something different… the instructions that explain how Bitcoin works.

Below this level, pipelines can't maintain pressure and refineries start failing, regardless of what price oil is trading at. This would mark the first time in recorded history the world has had to worry about physical oil availability, not just price.

⚡️🇮🇹 NEW - Italy's Defense Minister Guido Crosetto: There must be a reason why TikTok is banned in China even though it is Chinese. And there must be a reason why the messages shown on Chinese TikTok are completely different from those shown on Western TikTok. Because if you look at Chinese TikTok, there is no stupid dancing, no idiotic picture, nothing that could attract my 13-year-old daughter — who is banned from using it for as long as I can manage — and make her think that the way to approach life is a stupid one. Instead, it presents a completely different life, where children go to school, tidy things up, come home, study, play sports and help out. The messages are completely different.

There is no discussion. Q: Why wait until now to reaffirm it? Macron: We are not going to reaffirm it every morning just because people have strange ideas or say strange things. It is obvious.
