⚡️🚨🇺🇸 NEW - The Federal Reserve hikes interest rates by 25 BPS for the first time since July 2023.
The Federal Reserve raised interest rates by a quarter point, marking its first hike in more than three years and the first under Chair Kevin Warsh. Inflation remains above the Fed’s 2% target as the conflict in Iran adds pressure on prices.
Warsh previewed the move last month, saying controlling inflation should be the Fed’s “predominant focus.” The hike could draw criticism from President Trump, who has repeatedly pushed for lower borrowing costs.

⚡️‼️ NEW - Hackers tore down a Flock license plate camera, copied its storage and found an encryption key on the device that unlocked footage of thousands of passing vehicles.
The recovered data covered about 21 days of activity. In that time, the camera photographed roughly 50,000 vehicles and took about 1.6 million images.
Flock had previously told a security researcher that even someone who got into one of its cameras couldn't reach footage, because images stayed on the device only briefly.
Flock calls the removal illegal and said it didn't have enough detail to assess the claims.
Its software also detects people. When researchers ran the camera's own models over 27,321 clips stored on it, they flagged people in 11.

⚡️ TECH - HDMI 2.2 cables are finally hitting the market and can handle up to 96 Gbps of bandwidth.
That’s double HDMI 2.1, so HDMI 2.2 is built for higher resolutions and refresh rates, including 4K at 240Hz.
The first certified cables are already available, with prices starting at around $33 depending on length.
There’s a catch, you won’t get 96 Gbps just by buying the cable, your GPU, TV or monitor also needs to support HDMI 2.2.
So if your setup is still using HDMI 2.1, there’s no real reason to upgrade yet.

Best Buy currently has the RTX 5090 completely out of stock, while Amazon listings are also extremely expensive.
