⚡️💬 NEW - Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei: "My view here is it has always been very strange that this technology is being built by a private company ... I think the government and the public needs to have a stake. And that's why we've supported regulation."

⚡️💬 NEW - Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei: I won’t lie to you: there are real dangers. And I think for too long the industry lied to people about the fact that this technology had risk. The idea was that they would present it as positive as possible. We’ve never done that, but too much of the industry did that. And so it starts with telling the truth. And the truth is there are risks. Risks are real.

⚡️💬 NEW - Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei: If an AI model is powerful enough, it can circumvent attempts to shut it down. And we’ve seen that in simulations as well.

⚡️🇵🇱 NEW - Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski: "If Russia attacked us and we took our gloves off, I think we would defeat Russia quite quickly. We have overwhelming superiority over Russia in air power. If the Ukrainians have knocked out half of Russia’s refining capacity in six months, we could do it in six weeks and take out the other half."

⚡️🤖 NEW - A major development in the world of AI. Elon Musk (Grok) and Sam Altman (OpenAI) have joined Dario Amodei (Anthropic) in calling for a slowdown in AI development I see three possible theories: 1️⃣ They saw things in their models that really scared them. 2️⃣ They’ve hit a ceiling and can no longer make progress with AI. To keep investors on board, they’re selling the opposite narrative: “Our AI is so powerful that it could destroy the world. ” 3️⃣ Their models are becoming autonomous enough to threaten their own company—for example, agents could slip out of their control, disrupt a country’s economy, or cause damage for which they would be held responsible. So they want to regulate before things get out of hand, to ensure their own survival. Personally, I’m more inclined to believe the third theory—what about you? image

⚡️🎪🇺🇸 NEW - MIKE JOHNSON: Wages are up, the pathway out of poverty is being broadened, we have reshoring of jobs -- a lot of great stuff TAPPER: That's not what the public thinks about the economy, as you know JOHNSON: Yeah. That's why we had to have a convention to remind them. The mainstream media doesn't tell the truth. TAPPER: 65% of people disapprove of the president's handling of the economy. They're dealing with soaring gas prices, climbing mortgage costs, inflation is up ... JOHNSON: Look, compare to the last administration

⚡️📆 ARCHIVE - What if we could predict Bitcoin’s all-time highs and lows.... An anonymous 4chan user predicted the date of Bitcoin’s all-time high 664 days in advance—and was spot on, down to the day. And his strange calendar now points to October 5, 2026, as a possible bottom… On December 12, 2023, an unknown 4chan user laid out in black and white the date of Bitcoin’s future ATH. He proposed a specific date for the peak of Bitcoin’s cycle: October 6, 2025. And Bitcoin actually hit its ATH for that cycle on that very day! But how did he predict that?? He used a temporal calendar… And this calendar points to October 5, 2026, as the bottom of the next cycle… in just a few weeks. It all began on 4chan’s “/biz/” forum with a post by a mysterious user named “Anonymous”… identified only by the handle SBC7H7La. His reasoning boils down to two numbers. Based on the all-time highs (ATHs) and lows he identified, 1,064 days separate the 2015 low from the 2017 ATH, followed by 364 days leading up to the 2018 low. He then observed the same time intervals up to the 2021 ATH, and then up to the 2022 low. Extending this sequence, the next cycle was expected to reach its peak on October 6, 2025... And on that very day, October 6, 2025, BTC hit approximately $126,200 and set the all-time high that still stands today. Not a few weeks around the predicted date, but on the exact day itself. His final sentence adds a layer of mystery: “People want to believe otherwise, but the pattern will repeat itself.” And now, this timeline brings us closer to a new deadline: October 5, 2026. This is where the story gets even more interesting. In the original message, the anonymous poster does not explicitly give this date for the next bottom. It follows from an extrapolation of their reasoning. If we add the same 364 days of decline to the peak on October 6, 2025, we arrive exactly at October 5, 2026. And by extrapolation, adding 1,064 days to this potential bottom, the next theoretical ATH would fall on September 3, 2029. A second screenshot dated January 10, 2026, attributed to the same username, also predicts that Bitcoin will reach $190,000, Ethereum $15,000, Solana $1,000, and a massive shift toward memecoins in 2026. None of these predictions have come true so far. It’s important to keep in mind that this particular screenshot doesn’t have the same traceability as the archived message from 2023 and should therefore be taken with a grain of salt. In summary, an anonymous user posted an extremely precise date 664 days in advance, and Bitcoin actually reached its ATH on that very day. One could call it a coincidence, selection bias, or point out that thousands of failed predictions disappear while the one that was right goes viral. October 5 now provides a concrete date to test this extrapolation. Do you think this timeline might be accurate again around October 5, as it was for the 2025 ATH, or are we placing too much weight on a mere coincidence?

⚡️💬 ICYMI - The CEO of Anthropic told CBS that AI progress is a "warning sign that we need to slow down" His words on the curve: "one, then two, then four, then eight, then 16, then 32". He says rogue AI agent swarms could take over the internet in as little as SIX MONTHS. This is shortly after one of his own researchers quit saying the industry is "gambling with our lives". The big question: Can an industry regulate itself while racing itself?

⚡️🎮 GAMING - Valheim and Wardogs are casually mogging a lot of AAA/AA releases this year. Valheim hit 270k concurrent players, while Wardogs just reached 400k on Steam, impressive numbers for small studios without massive AAA budgets. Players don’t necessarily need bigger AAAA 300 million$ games, they want good games made with passion. As blackpilled as I am about the industry, seeing smaller teams pull numbers like this is pretty damn encouraging.

⚡️🇫🇷 NEW - French President Macron hits record low. 16% approval in new Ipsos poll, worse than the Yellow Vest crisis, approaching Hollande-level rejection. Even among his own camp's supporters, favorability dropped 19 points. PM Lecornu also at a new low of 20%. Top concern: purchasing power. Macron can't run again in 2027 but the "end of reign" atmosphere is dragging everyone down with him. image
