Brought back chilling memories of our collective near tragedy when the foolish suits attempted to control a network that is defined by decentralization.
Had they succeeded they would have simultaneously failed and destroyed their collective businesses and the massive potential of the world's first decentralized monetary network.
That tragedy was thankfully averted due to the colllecive actions of very wise and engaged individuals.
To my knowledge, only Wences has ever explicitly apologized for being on the wrong side of history. Barry hinted at a broader game dynamic at play but couldn't be explicit. In my book he gets a pass too.
After 7 years, with the network still ticking along, and all the progress Bitcoin has made you'd think the rest would own up.

Someone floated it a while ago and my gut told me it would be unifying and historic and an overall positive on the backdrop of an ever intensifying clown world. I liked the idea and potential but it seemed like a long shot. Now it seems like the only thing that makes any sense.
I know we are trying to build a decentralized world that doesn't need politicians but on whole I think this would be a positive step towards that end. Trump has rashly stated he doesn't like Bitcoin but likely doesn't get it (like Munger who died without really understanding it) while RFK Jr. seems to have shown POW (invested time and energy) to understand this emerging phenomenon.
I think the sum of the parts has great potential to influence the current freedom movement. It also may serve as an example that people with similar core values but diverse thought processes can work together towards important common goals.
It could also be wild and unpredictable, but Bitcoiners are used to that. We will see. Just getting this on the record.
Brilliant observation and articulation that helps explains some of the chaos we see today.
Knowing Bitcoin and Nostr have similar mission and are on similar trajectories instills a great deal of hope despite the backdrop of this intensifying clown world.
Technological decentralization of power builds on itself and is accelerating.
Despite the popular narratives this is an amazing time to be alive.

This is amazing to me. After all these years do these people really still not see what's happening? Are they that thick or are they simply shills for the establishment? It's very hard to tell.
Using terms like "cult", "rabbid" and "whacko" and still quoting an old man that clearly doesn't know the first thing about the technology whose "critical analysis" is simply to call Bitcoin "rat poison". No actual critique. No demonstration of any actual understanding. No steel manning. No concessions despite incredible performance and demonstrable underlying qualities, just name calling.
Bitcoin is an IQ test.
Kudos to Pomp for knowing precisely how to handle these simpletons/shills while using their platform to spread the signal.
