A low-fi audiozine that puts the punk back in cypherpunk.
Tomorrow, 12:30, Prague East, I will teach you how to live stream with lightning! I'll be bringing you many of the tips I've learned from the podcasting 2.0 community and my experience doing a weekly live show. There will be cassettes!
Tape find of the day. It's a Czech reggae band I think. Very nice trumpet parts. Bought solely because of trumpet on cover. Did not disappoint. image
I was on this radio show last weekend which had a theme of Summer, media, money, and a side helping of David Lynch. I got strong @7fqx vibes from the show.
Bringing some cassettes with me to BTC Prague. Thanks to Phoenix wallet I'm trying a Bolt12 qr code! Which is pretty cool because I can use the same QR code for all tapes. Actually, I was sleeping on phoenix wallet for a bit but its a whole node in your phone?! I also added the bolt12 to zine.bitpunk.FM/support with a cool javascript copy to clipboard button. This is also the psgr that my RSS feeds have for the funding tag. image
I just migrated all my feeds to a static site. Let me know if there any issues but I think its actually working. If it is working, its thanks to podping, which quickly-ish lets podcast clients know about the update. I've left castapod. I think castapod was not horrible, I was self hosting it. At the end of the day though, when you can edit the xml directly you support every feature and this is what I was running up against. The site, all the media files from all my podcasts current can be downloaded and fit all on a single layer DVD. Which means, I can hopefully migrate it quickly if need be. I think there is potential for nostr to be more resilient than this in the future. But for now, I think having an easy clonable site that can pop around is best. Much like ubuweb. image
Everyone wants to get Grandma on bitcoin and #nostr. Grandma knows how to play cassettes. I think I'm winning the onboarding race.
