A low-fi audiozine that puts the punk back in cypherpunk.
All you haters out there said the Amish wouldn't join nostr and Derek Ross couldn't onboard them. Well, they riding e-bikes now. image
Hands down, the most creative postcard I've received. Not only is it hand drawn, but on the back is an encrypted quote. The sender is on substack who is an artist and an author, and he's making cryptography FUN again. All of this nostr signed notes, zk fruit roll ups, and hardware secure dongles and here is a guy, making all of this just fun again by sending me encrypted, handwritten messages in the mail. This guy gets it as does everyone here who has sent a postcard. Thank you everyone who has slowed down and shared your postcard art with me. It's beautiful, and even if its just a return address, I appreciate it. The tapes will keep rolling as long as yall keep sending me postcards! Y'all complaining about inflation but I picked this up for $10. Ditch the lattes, by more vinyl. You are saving the earth by keeping them out of landfills. ๐Ÿคฃ๐ŸŒŽ image
Found this gem at a ham radio flea market this weekend. It's not the 1-877-BIT-LOFI phone, but I can make outgoing calls with it. If you are into electronics at all, you should go to your local ham fests. There is so much cool stuff there. And despite that hams really like talking behind the radio more than in person, they are quite nice. It's also a nice reminder that one day I will die and my wife will be burden with selling all my electronics. However, I'm using this as an insurance policy so she doesn't kill me at the moment. image
I think the Amish are the true cypherpunks. This community is completely off line, self sovereign, lives off the land and all that shit that all these bitcoin podcasts say they want. Guys, they don't even have phones that's how much they take their privacy seriously. ๐Ÿคฃ @Derek Ross get the Amish on nostr. We could learn a thing or two from them perhaps.
My talk "Live with Lightning" was accepted at /dev/hack/day (the day before BTC Prague). Which means I'll be celebrating the 1 year anniversary of bitpunk fm back where it started, in Prague! I'll be sharing as much as I can about what I learned in Podcasting 2.0! See you there!
If you want to spice up your coffee, here's a recipe. Add nutmeg, coca nibs, and cinnamon to your grounds in an aeropress. Then press like normal. I call it "nutmeg noir."
Behold the apple I. You should always carry a cassette recorder in your briefcase. image
I'm launching a new hardware wallet! Full HD, 15 inch screen (you can see the entire address without your glasses), 104 tactile keys, hardware security done by leading silicon manufacturers, and it will sposnor all the bitcoin podcasts! Who wants in?
The podcasting 2.0 community continues to impress me. If you have not joined an irc chat room while a live podcast is broadcasting, I'm sorry, you are completely missing out an experience.
