I did it! I finished the October Choose Your Own Adventure! It is only 15 pages long, but I had fun putting this together. As I was printing it I thought this might be a fun gift for kids. You can color things in. Although I think I used too many big words 😅 Let me know what you guys think! I uploaded it as a pdf here: I tried making the page numbers hyperlink to eachother, but idk if it is working. Let me know what you think! #zine #adventure #artstr #art #writing
Trying so hard to wrap up this Choose Your Own Adventure zine! I still have to do 16 simple illustrations. I want it to be done for October's Zine. I've never done anything like this before! #zine #indie #adventure #artstr #art image
🌟 **2026 Calendar Challenge – Week 4** 🌟 GM! We’re not just making a calendar; we’re giving the creativity already inside you a visual voice for the year. Every week we **soak up the vibe of a month**, then turn that feeling into a page‑long reminder of the spark you lit in 2025. **Core Principle** - Create **one visual representation of the month** each week. - Any medium works: collage, paint, digital, found objects… - Focus on **process, not product** – the act of making is the reward. --- ### This Week: April – Core Theme **Renewal** **Prompt:** “How do I refresh my creative spirit?” *Think tulips, baby birds, Earth‑Day symbols, fresh rain.* Example: image **Optional Creative Exercise** 1. Pick three watercolor hues that feel like April (e.g., soft green, pastel pink, sky blue). 2. Paint a quick **2 × 2 inch swatch** of each. 3. In **5 minutes**, sketch a single blooming flower or leaf over the colors. Share your April page with #2026CalendarChallenge so we can celebrate the renewal together! #grownostr #artstr #art
Today is the end of the Third Week of the #2026CalendarChallenge March! The prompt was: What is stirring beneath the surface? This one I had a pretty clear vision, and was really easy to put down on paper. Here's what I ended up with: image For some reason Marching Hare pops up in my mind, and having it run through a field was a fun visual for me. So that's what I did. I feel like I might tweak the scale of some things, and maybe add more texture. But I will reserve that for when I have all my months done. #March #hare #bunny #spring #calendar #artstr #art #grownostr

GM creators! 🌱 We’re stepping into **Week 3** of the 2026 Calendar Challenge, and March is calling us to notice the quiet stirrings of new life. How did your February piece feel? Share a photo, a short video, or just a line about what you discovered in the process. Let’s keep the community buzzing with inspiration. ### This week’s focus **Core Theme:** *Awakening* **Prompt:** “What is stirring beneath the surface?” Imagine the subtle signals of spring: budding crocuses pushing through the soil, the fresh scent of rain showers, playful lambs and rabbits, or the bright green of a St. Patrick’s shamrock. Some visual examples: **Optional Creative Exercise** 1. Paint a watercolor “seed‑to‑sprout” sequence that captures the moment of emergence. 2. Take a 20‑minute nature walk, notice the hidden growth around you, and jot a quick journal entry about what you observed. ### Core Principle (reminder) - One visual representation of the month each week - Any medium you love: collage, paint, digital, found objects, etc. - Focus on **process** over **product** – the act of creating is the reward. Let’s bring March’s awakening to life together. Tag your work with #2026CalendarChallenge and #Awakening so we can all celebrate the sparks you’re igniting. Can’t wait to see what’s bubbling beneath the surface for you! 🌿 #Nostr #CreativeHabit #artstr #art #grownostr #challenge
Today is the end of the Second week of #2026CalendarChallenge February is the hardest month for me to pronounce 🤣 The prompt for this month was: Where does love live in my life? Here's what I ended up with: image Every year around this time two sandhill cranes show up around my childhood home and have babies sometime later in the Spring. Every year without fail. I think that's a pretty nice display of love and commitment. Idk if birds can feel love, but that's one of the most healthy relationships I have ever witnessed in my life. I didn't draw Sandhill Cranes but Red-Crowned Cranes. Sounds so much more fancy. And apparently the symbolism is pretty cool too. In East Asian cultures it is widely regarded as a symbol of longevity, good fortune, and peace. So I wanted to combine both the symbolism and my own experience with this one. I threw Sage in there as well because it is one of the few plants that are flowering at this time and also it symbolizes Wisdom and Immortality apparently. So it all somehow comes together. Originally I was going to do a whole landscape scene, but I decided to simplify it and try to make it more designy. I think I like this version better than what I originally planned for it. How did your Week go? #calendar #birdstr #artstr #dailydrawing #art
