If solo mining and running heavy filtering with a node, is extremely detrimental to finding a block. If the node has a low success rate of compact block reconstruction due to requesting transactions from peers that the node was filtering out. It could take many SECONDS before the node is able to verify the block. Small scale mining and filtering, ironically do not mix very well.

Ecash fits the permaculture overlay to Bitcoin very well. Integrate rather than segregate, value the marginal, produce no waste, value diversity, and more permaculture principles can be utilized with ecash. It gives Bitcoiner more utility for their Bitcoin.

The elderberry flowers are enchanting the homestead with wonderful aromas and the food forest is producing yield after yield! Strawberries are done and the jam is made, now raspberries are in full swing with peaches on the way along with gooseberries. Going to harvest the garlic in a couple weeks, and probably start getting the first plums.
