The cognitive shift for most people is realizing that their money may not be disappearing, but it’s purchasing power is. This single noticing is what pushes people to start looking for alternatives like bitcoin. Understanding the fundamental reality of the money protocol you’re participating in seems to encourage seeking a safe exit from it.
