this is a nice, thoughtful broad writeup on what it means to be a progressive today. this is an ideology I used to agree with and walked away from sometime during 2019. my thinking went something like this: "if my taxes go to military, etc, etc, why don't they direct the money to help people: Healthcare, homelessness, child tax, etc?" the issue fundamentally came down to individuals; elected officials acting in their own self interest, and often times in a corrupt matter - in both political parties. don't get me wrong, I think the ideology is polite. if I was forced into a game, I'd want it to be played fairly and in everyone's best interest. these elected officials, the elites of today, are scum and they fucking hate us. they don't act in our best interest and should have no authority over our lives. ignore them and mock them like the baboons they are. there have been countless opportunities for them to act with kindness and benevolence, and they don't put out. fuck em. stay humble and stack sats. stay humble, stack sats.
