You know the bear is getting long in the tooth when bitcoiner infighting ramps up. Seen it three times now, once each cycle where I was aware of it. NGU cleanses and suppresses butt hurts for a few years, only to resurface when the next bear hangs around... rinse - repeat.

Talking Bitcoin, Nostr and growing both: - Morning Meetup over coffees - Happy hour cocktails All paid for with bitcoin (Lightning) ... and I'm in Vancouver, not Bitcoin Beach, Lake, Jungle or Island 😁 I'm thinking we're going to need a nickname soon for Vancity. There are about 40 merchants now accepting bitcoin payments. The Vancouver bitcoin community is strong and growing quickly. I'm thinking we should hold a monthly online virtual hangout where we share ideas, tips, hits and misses with all the other builders in Central America, USA and Canada (time zones considered). As Fall approaches, we can roll up our sleeves, support one another and take merchant adoption to the next level. Maybe a bounty for whichever region onboards and sustains the most merchants. I'm liking Vancity's chances but would never bet against the Farmer's Market in Uvita, El Zonte or the Golden zone of Panajachel. Daily Affirmation ~ "What have I done for bitcoin today?" 🤙LFG 💥💥

After experiencing a slight pain in my arm, I've preemptively gotten a cast. I'll continue to seek advice as to when it will be safe to remove the plaster and guaze. I'll continue to post notes while immobilized. 🤡🌏

I'm influenced by the hippy generation of the 60s, although I grew up in the 70s it was still accepted parlance to use terms like "man" when referring to a casual acquaintance as in, "nice to meet you man" or "thanks for that man". I'm having a beer in a small East Van "saloon" and I've just come to the realization that my server is either a rocker with guy-liner and painted nails or they might be transitioning. I thank my server each time, "thank you man", I say with no ill intent but wonder, has this salutation now become inappropriate? I'm not hip with the new lingo and would probably sound ridiculous trying to use it. So I'm at a crossroads where words no longer serve my purpose, yet I want to express my appreciation. I guess, I'll resort to prayer hands and a slight bow from now on. That is until my ethnicity garners this as cultural appropriation and forboden. Help navigating the #matrix is appreciated 😷
