#Conservatives are inherently dishonest. They don't actually believe the things they say. They just think they'll be palatable enough to convince people to let them do what they actually want. What they want is ALWAYS to force a hierarchy on society so a ruling elite class can be entrenched on top.
I can only speak for the US, but I'm 99% sure it's the same everywhere else.
