Can you live without intoxicating yourself? Without intoxication yourself with something. Intoxification is so easy, keeping busy, doing alcohol or drugs, psychedelics or for that matter dopamine kicks from social confirmation, training, creating, etc. To forget that you are here in this moment. Humanity invents all sorts of ways to cope with being aware as a living being, mostly we are all guilty of some intoxification. Philosophy, religion, social justice, capitalism helps us to forget. There's no right answer, we just live. Pick your way of experiencing that moment. I think biology is the best way, merely surving and sexual reproduction.
