Quick story about creating a bitcoin allowance for my 7 year old. I proposed an allowance based upon proof of work and gave her the option of receiving $1/day or 1k sats/day. She immediately chose 1k of sats/day, I asked her why expecting her to choose the bigger number, rather, she hit it out of the park by stating “because bitcoin cannot be controlled”. I gotta hand it to the @Tuttle Twins TV the episodes and graphic novels have really created a level of financial literacy about monetary policy for my kid that I alone could not. Now, I’m working toward a system of hot and cold wallets for her to learn how to receive and use these sats. The Bitkey seems perfect for cold storage, and for the moment cashu.me and e cash payments between us seem like the best way to exchange value while not having to have her device(old I phone) online.
