One of the hardest things in life is coming to terms with the fact that some people are incapable of change. Some people are slaves to their ego and live an a constant state of cognitive dissonance. No amount of evidence can peel them away from their warped view of the world. It is especially difficult when those people are family or loved ones. You are forced to watch them take a self destructive path in life and are unable to help them. It is like watching someone standing on train tracks with a train coming at them full force. You yell to let them know to get off the tracks or they will be hit. All they have to do is take a couple steps, but their ego won't let them. Their ego tells them there is no train coming and everything is fine.

Feeling very foolish that I had been so bearish on the lightning network. iOS like self custody is not as far away as I had thought. Never underestimate #bitcoin builders.

Shoutout to @Alby for developing Alby Hub. I stopped running a lightning node years ago due to frustrations with the workflows. Alby Hub makes it pretty braindead easy for apes like me to manage channels. The UX is dope too. getting back into running my own lightning node. i quit it a few years ago because of how much of a pain in the ass it was. looks like so much has changed. #bitcoin

Not sure who needs to hear this, but if you don't keep bitcoin core running 24/7, you might be missing transaction history even after you resync. Fortunately, just had to run a rescan of the chain to get the transaction history to load. I about had a heart attack because i thought some bitcoin were missing.

please correct me if i am wrong, but running filters on your node just stops your node from storing the transaction. however, as long as a spam block is mined, it doesn't matter that your node filters it. as long as the majority of miners use core, spam will be confirmed. miners would have to run spam filters which is not in their economic interest because spam creates transaction fees for them to generate revenue. #bitcoin #knots #plebnet
