Kids will get Ubuntu, I'm staying with Arch btw. I hope battery life keeps improving. That and the display are the only thing I miss from the mbp days. Time to say goodbye to fedora atomic.

Feels so good to be back on arch even in this version. The only choices left for my main machine are now Arch or Nix. I also gave Gnome and KDE a real chance for a very long time, but I'm back to tiling.
Here I am giving omarchy from dhh a try. His ricing of arch. Not bad, but to much commercial stuff in it like Google photos and contacts, Dropbox, Whatsapp, zoom, etc and obviously his apps hey and Basecamp. I don't have yet an opinion on including docker by default. it makes sense for that audience tho
Fedora immutable os was a nice experiment, but I'm going to move on. It was stable for sure. I could always got back to work quite fast, but the time working around the issues faced bc of the immutability has certainly outweight the benefit overall. The kids are not sold yet to the idea of changing even tho they have even more issues, as they use their notebooks for gaming. Perhaps it plays a role that I'm at the end, the one maintaining their system. Could be a reason ๐

Getting back in shape requires more work with age, but don't make it more complicated than it is: clean eating, strength and cardio, good sleep. Repeat. Worked in the past and still works today. Just takes more time.
