Some major concerns with #bichat are the leakage of bluetooth identifiers, range, battery, and the need for location services On the plus side it's available without any additional device If @TollGate could include an open relay on their router, we could have mesh comms across ALL nostr apps, with greater range, full end user privacy, and a financial incentive to run a node (if you're on a tollgate wifi you pay sats for internet)
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions when it comes to provisioning a high performance video call service such as jitsi or miro / @HiveTalk ? Is it CPUs that matter? Seperate STUN / Turn servers? How to deploy / self-host a platform that is as reliable as meet or zoom? We've tried many combinations of software, server locations, configurations.. We see hivetalk running @Alby community calls with dozens of users, so clearly it's possible #asknostr
We have a client interested in the performance limitations of nostr relays, specifically strfry Has anyone published any report on this topic before? Is there any existing tooling for running load tests, or guidelines for relay optimisation? Presumably we should expect websockets to be the main bottleneck? #asknostr
