Thoughts and feedback please. Here’s my latest and greatest. This is a design I’ve had in my head for years and finally got around making it a reality. This is a two layer design with shallow pockets cut out for the cards. Then a 1/8” gloss white acrylic on top of the black substrate. Frame is maple stained black, mounted in a floating frame style. I’m planning to do a few different styles and design within this theme and see if there’s a market for them. #grownostr #woodworking #design #diy

Just finished up my little shoe shelf. Left over curly maple for the legs and white oak stained black with India ink for the shelves. Trying a cheaper version of a popular hard oil wax finish. Time will tell if the 30% price difference is worth it. #grownostr #woodworking #diy

I finally got around to setting up my start9 server. I ordered two of them a long time ago when I first heard Matt hills interview with @Jack Spirko I was interested in running my own btc node as well as some private cloud type storage for myself and family. Apparently with the older models like mine (raspberry pi’s) you can’t use any of the Bitcoin applications. That is disappointing to say the least. I can personally see a use for the cloud storage but other than that I don’t really see anything interesting for myself at this time. I’m kinda bummed out honestly. I wanted to use this to push my technical understanding of btc to another level with running my own node and connecting wallets and such. I feel like half of the applications are based around btc and lightning which I can’t use and I don’t really wanna waste the money I spent on this one and buy another bigger newer model for the features that I was originally told I could do on the model I bought at the time. So I guess what I’m asking is can anyone recommend some of the other services and some use cases?

Finally back in my shop working on something. This will be a little shoe shelf for our house. I wanna push myself a little and do some interesting joinery for the base. I try to push myself a little each build with the intent to grow my skills over time. Trying out a 1 min video on here. This was a fix for a mistake I made while making some smaller oak panels. I used some dominoes to help with alignment and forgot to mark where I put them. Once I cut them to final dimensions I ended up with one like this. Anyway this was a quick repair vid I made. #grownostr #woodworking #mistake

Now that’s a bar! I was told by the owners that this is the largest single slab bar in the country. Guiness world book of records wanted to charge them 10k for the recognition and certificate or whatever. They said no thanks. Pretty damn cool.
