Anyone has a clear vision on how to solve the Bitcoin development problems ? The current opreturn discussion is a good sample. Democracy doesn't work, we need people who understand the implications. I see too many who think that fees can solve it, or #Bitcoin should represent freedom so jpeg's should be allowed, etc etc. So the options are: we are able to inform educate people. And if that was possible how come we now have the fiat system, everlasting wars etc etc. ? Or we get some group of experts we can trust. But how do we check them, make sure they are not blackmailed, bought by fiat, etc etc. Bitcoin solved same basic issues by naking changes impossible/extremely hard (21 million limit). Simply because we know a possible change will be abused. If we fillow this reasoning shouldn't we freeze the basic layer of #Bitcoin ASAP ? Or even just select a previous release as freezed baseline. New stuff can be added vua new kayers like LN did. #Bitcoin is getting to big to allow errors, to big for the "fiat system" to be ignored. We, should, know that possible abuse will be abused. Any other serious option than freezing #Bitcoin ?
