For life is not a series of tasks to be done, but a dance of existence where the spaces between the steps reveal the hidden melody of our souls.

Life is not a race to be run, Nor a competition to be won, It is a tapestry, woven with care, Each thread a story, unique and rare.

Pausing can be revolutionary. When we hit the pause button, something magical happens. By giving ourselves permission to pause, we invite the whispers of our deepest feelings and experiences to surface. In this space of stillness, we find clarity amidst confusion, healing amidst chaos, and growth amidst uncertainty. Embrace the power of pausing! #PauseAndReflect

"''Trust in what you love, continue to do it, and it will take you where you need to go.' And don't worry too much about security. You will eventually have a deep security when you begin to do what you want. How many of us with our big salaries are actually secure anyway?" —Natalie Goldberg

🌍🔍 Imagine morality as your personal compass, pointing you towards what matters most in life. It's not a rigid rulebook, nor is it a detailed map. Instead, it's like the North Star guiding explorers through uncharted territories! ⭐️🧭 Or think of it as a lighthouse, helping sailors navigate treacherous seas without dictating their exact path. 🚢🌊 And what if we saw it as sheet music for a jazz band, providing the structure but leaving room for improvisation and personal flair? 🎶🎷 What's your moral compass pointing towards? How does it help you find your way in life's complexities? Share your thoughts!

"The real business of living is figuring out what matters in life, and the purpose of moral philosophy should be to help this task. So long as ethical theories help, their methods and insights are welcome. However, modern ethical theories, for all their genuine help, also threaten life and character. Taken to their limits, prominent modern ethical theories would squeeze out, ignore, or deform things that matter. I for one am glad that people have not taken our most prominent ethical theories to heart in all their details. While some philosophers bemoan this failure and chalk it up to ignorance and insolence, I think many reflective people have taken these theories with a grain of philosophical salt, following the different call of what they think matters, no matter what the theory says. And this all for the better." —Anthony Cunningham

"All through his [Ralph Waldo Emerson's] life he kept a journal. This book, he said, was his 'Savings Bank.' The thoughts thus received and garnered in his journals were indexed, and a great many of them appeared in his published works. They were religiously set down just as they came, in no order except chronological, but later they were grouped, enlarged or pruned, illustrated, worked into a lecture or discourse, and, after having in this capacity undergone repeated testing and rearranging, were finally carefully sifted and more rigidly pruned, and were printed as essays." Dr. Edward Emerson

When we prioritize meeting expectations, adhering to codes of conduct, established methodologies, and standard practices above all else in our pursuits, we lose touch with our own values, unique life experiences, and personal interests.

Pause! Pay attention! Cast your gaze upon the "true" treasures - those "hidden" gems waiting to be "discovered." Alas, our relentless pursuit of external accomplishments blinds us to the genuine goodness that envelopes our very existence. Final goods that bring goodness on their own, not for what they achieve or buy, sadly slip through our fingers - unnoticed and unappreciated.

Why is it such a challenge to emphasize the importance of thoughtful preparation while avoiding the perception of endorsing excessive hesitation or fear?

I've been caught in a perplexing paradox where I find myself least wanting to do what I most want to do. This conflict has persisted for quite some time, but now I'm turning to Focusing self-therapy to embrace this challenge and find a way forward.

I'm growing increasingly convinced that Focusing, whether through self-therapy or Focusing partnerships, has the potential to be a fantastic alternative to traditional psychotherapy. Especially for individuals struggling to find skilled professional psychotherapists or facing financial constraints, this approach could be a game-changer. #Focusing #SelfTherapy #Empowerment
