We have a lot of wildlife at my school. You have to keep your eyes open, or you could get in trouble. image

View quoted note → One of the most important things we can do in this life is learn to forgive, but this is only possible if we have, by faith, received God’s total forgiveness of ourselves. The two are linked together.

Today is the feast of St. John Chrysostom, and I like the meditation Magnificat had by him for today.

View quoted note → I read 1984 back in 1980, and I had a hard time believing Americans would fall for something like Double-Speak, but it has definitely happened.

I have this message indication on Primal, but when I click on it, the resulting page appears to be broken. That little 15 triggers my Pavlovian response to resolve the notification and make it go away, but I can't clear it! For my own mental health, I am going to have to restrict myself to Snort and Coracle until this is fixed on Primal. ;) Thank you Nostr for giving us options! image

The Collect prayer for this week is one of my favorites, especially in the midst of uncertainty. O God, who cause the minds of the faithful to unite in a single purpose, grant your people to love what you command and to desire what you promise, that, amid the uncertainties of this world, our hearts may be fixed on that place where true gladness is found. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
