Good morning, Nostr. This morning at 6:00 I went to a Project Ezekiel Mass, celebrating the Memorial of Saints Martha, Mary, and Lazarus. Project Ezekiel is headed by a young priest, about 25, and he was assisted by a dozen young people, mostly teens, serving and singing Gregorian chant. About 60 people were in attendance, also mostly teenagers. The purpose of Project Ezekiel is to respond to the hunger for tradition and reverence in worship that young people have today. Although they use the modern form of the liturgy in English, they chant Latin hymns, use incense, have lots of candles, and maintain a prayerful atmosphere focused on God.

Yestarday, I saw the Oppenheimer movie with some work friends. I thought it was well done and is important for two reasons. First of all, the threat of nuclear war is greater than it has been for decades. This movie may help people get a better sense of the danger. Secondly, some of the questions they dealt with about should such technology be developed and used are now being asked about artificial intelligence. If you are interested in learning more about Oppenheimer and the Manhattan Project, the documentary "The Day After Trinity", is free to watch right now here: https://www.criterionchannel.com/the-day-after-trinity/videos/the-day-after-trinity It was filmed in 1980, so there are people still alive who knew Oppenheimer and/or saw the Trinity test, and their reports in the documentary are interesting. Robert Oppenheimer's brother, Frank, has interesting things to say.

GM Nostr. Today's Pope Benedict XVI Quote of the Day is good, so I thought I would share it. You can see more at Without the truth about man inscribed by the Creator in the human heart, freedom and love become debased, and justice loses the ground of its exercise.
