I designed something. Bitcoin socks, made with a pattern that I created.

Sorry I don't have a way to accept payment via bitcoin. Maybe there is a way. I'm too tired to figure it out now. If you want to be my first ever customer and pay with bitcoin, send me a DM here on Nostr and I'll figure out a way to make it happen even if we have to coordinate it manually so you could pay me and I'd buy them with a debit card and have them mailed to you.

I orange-pilled my waiter at Outback the other day.
I was wearing a T-shirt that said, "STRAIGHT OUTTA BITCOIN" on it. He saw that, acted a bit excited about it. That's when I asked him if he had a lightning wallet on his phone and said I would rather tip him with bitcoin. He said he did not, but could install an app quickly. That's when I had him download and install Phoenix Wallet.
We had to increase the default Max Fee from 5000 to 12500 sats to get it to work so he could receive his first lightning transaction from me.
I would have normally paid $20 tip anyway (on a bill that was about $100). Knowing that the fees would take away some, and knowing that I was potentially creating a new bitcoiner at that moment, I scanned his QRcode, sent $25USD worth of sats, he instantly received ~$23 in his new wallet.
I explained to him that it was super important, vital, that when he got home that he spend a few minutes backing up the seed words to the wallet by writing them down on a piece of paper and storing that paper somewhere safe. Only ever use those words again if he had to reinstall the wallet on another phone for any reason. Never share those words with anyone else for any reason. Never try to install the wallet on more than one phone at any time.
The whole process from start to end took less than 3 minutes. It only cost me a couple dollars extra tip. I created a new bitcoiner and am proud of having done it.
