Day 3 of #grownostr initiative Listened to #[1]​ in his chat about growing in person communities today. I feel this is very important for the evolution of the local economies. I have been noticing with some of the “friends” we have met since uprooting our lives and moving away from our known and established lives, it feels like there is a lack of connection/substance to our new relationships. Actions I have taken to alleviate these feelings have been getting involved with creating the freedom exchange and it’s funny how few of our current “friends” find ways to make excuses why they can’t make the 30+/- minute drive out “oh I’m just so busy (even though neither work a full time job)” or “if only the exchange was on Fridays since I’m traveling up there anyways it would be super convenient for me”… well this movement is not about personal convenience, it’s about connecting with the people who made a 2+ hour drive on their only day off to participate. Just sharing inside thoughts about what I think will create a parallel revolution. I think we need to start doing things together with the people we share the same ideologies with. I feel like there are those that “want” and those that “do”. Moving forward I plan on aligning myself more closely with those that do because I try to be a doer. We are stronger as a tribe! My two cents for whatever it’s worth 🤪

Rescued a litter of kittens plus the mom this past weekend. Named the mom Lexi and plan to keep one of the babies. Nothing like a little troop of snuggle buddies in the house! ❤️ 😻

Another full day on the docket for us. Made this awesome dice holder for my nephews birthday who turns 13 this year and loves magic the gathering. Gotta get it all sanded and protected with a couple coats of gloss. In case anyone in here is interested my husband and I are in north Idaho and we recently began a freedom exchange in our area. First event we had over 70 people show up from up to a 2 hour radius.
