There was a power outage last night, these happen. Yesterday I found the heat-tape broken in our pump house, so I replaced it. But heat tape doesn't work in a power outage. And if I am sleeping when the power goes out, there's no way to take other actions. Time to figure out another layer of protection. Thankfully the temperature wasn't freezing last night.

Finally got the lock on my den. I need to keep my 1 & 3 year olds out, as they get into everything and accidentally destroy. Preparing for my annual brothers call. We have an ongoing challenge to see who has lived the best life that year. There's 13 categories, we have a 1 point, star, and 0 system. It's a mixture of judging individually and collectively, then we decide who or how many of us had the best year. I'm pretty such I stacked the most Satoshi. I've made it through 6 hours of editing for my next album. This is from two days of recording in August. These were group recordings, now I have the solo instruments to listen through which is about 3 hours. Then I have my own parts, about 3 hours. Finally the vocal parts another 3 hours. Then I need to put them all together, while constantly thinning down the mix. I'm certain when it done it will be more than a little original. It's a good thing I love this. The edits are ruthless, shooting from the hip. It's a bit like chiseling a stone for a statue. I find that if I second guess myself the project will take a decade.
