Gold taught me how to save for the now, diverting disposable income into a (relatively) stable-value asset, versus the things I otherwise would’ve wasted my money on.
Yes, the shiny yellow rock is inferior to Bitcoin in all technical aspects. But as with fixed income vs. equity allocations, sometimes you need a psychological anchor to stick to your plan.
