In 2025, 250 people caught Salmonella from eggs in the US. Sounds like a lot. But 109 billion eggs were sold in the US alone in that year. That's 1 in 436 million, double your lottery winning chances. You are 400 times more likely to get hit by lightning.

If you are an Amethyst user, and want a feature/fix, you can pretty much ask Claude Code on their webpage (no need for any local coding setup) to make the feature for you. Let it work and approve everything. In the end, the interface will have a button to "Create a PR". Just click that button and it will send it to me. I will most likely merge it. You need the $17/mo "Pro" plan, but it works really well. The code is good.

People used to say that AI was replacing coding interns. No. For the lady 6 months it has been as good as a senior Kotlin dev to me. And Kotlin is not even a super common language like JavaScript.

I feel like Microsoft and Block are taking some vastly different approaches to AI. I wish we could just use AI to increase productivity by doing more without letting anyone go, but I also know that companies can't parallel too many things at once. If every dev + AI becomes too much for the org chart, new problems appear.

We need the inverse of NIP-56 Reports: An event kind to say that I vouch for this key with some categories, like meeting in person to prove to be a real human or completely trusting this individual. Ideas of other categories? Current thoughts: - "Proof of Humanity": I have met the person in real life and can confirm it is not an impersonator. - "Blind Faith": this is an account I generally trust and or pay attention to, like a close friend or colleague, regardless of what anyone else says. - "Backer": I support this person either financially or in other ways and want he/she to succeed in their cause. - "Competent": I think this person is competent in what they do, professionally or personally, similar to a testimonial. - "Benevolent": I believe this person does way more good than bad in the world. - "Moral": I believe this person has high moral compass, honesty, and alignment with shared values or beliefs.

Ok Samsung, you have my attention. Software-controlled partial privacy filter that is is pretty cool.
