Android and iOS not allowing background services to stay alive in apps because of battery consumption is total BS. The largest power drain in regular usage is the display. The CPU can surpass it, but only when all CPUs and GPUs are used at the same time, which rarely happens. Celular modem is only a problem during weak signal strengths. They are blocking always-on services because they want you using their servers. Apple and Google want your data. Not because of any battery-related BS.

Whoever decided to transfer Calendar invites over email... so that you receive obscure new messages every time there is a small change in the invite, which deprecates the information on all previous emails, leaving us in a mess of Calendar subjects without knowing which one is the latest one for each appointment... needs a bath in the nearest organic dumpster.
