if a conspiracy theory is so obviously dumb and wrong, then it has been created on purpose to get mixed with the real ones. so people put them all into the same basket of stupid conspiracy theories.
sometimes they might also create a group or people so hateable that you disagree with anything they say, you dont wanna get mixed with them. by disagreeing with the hated brainwashed group, you think they can't control you, but they just did.
in terms of coding, new comers and kids have it tough, they are expected to use ai, but also expected to become good at coding, review or understand issues with the code at the same time and produce good products. its an oxymoron.
we already had a problem since being into software has become "cool". we have bunch of people learning coding to get a job, earn money. they were already producing bad code "getting things done".
as a result quality in applications, especially in web has been degrading... and now with ai, nobody knows what is happening. standards were already low, before vibe coding become a thing. now these people see the vibe coding and think: "omg this is perfect". yeah its ok compare to what you have been producing already.
dont get me wrong, i use ai while coding. i made whole projects from scratch without really looking into the codebase, vibe coding, burning some tokens.
made whole projects, fully featured, exactly what i wanted. i like the ideas it gives about ui. i like how i can fix or change stuff from my phone. its amazing for a first version. because you already have a working version, fully featured. you know how the ui looks like etc.
ok cool, it works, it does everything, doesnt need to scale rn. good, now its production. i can still add things or change things vibe coding based on feedback time to time. on that codebase.
if i dont care about the project and not gonna see it again, i just leave like that. otherwise, i create a new branch, and just rewrite it from scratch myself looks almost 1:1 same from outside. but this time, i make better decisions because im there while the code is being written. i can make better systems, better structure, optimize things, get rid of unnecessary network requests, create a better foundation, a better codebase, more consistent, faster, efficient, breeze to work on. etc.
but the first trial and error phase, while you are deciding things, how everything is gonna look like, what is the fully featured finished project will be like. i just vibe code that shit in a week or two. burn some budget. and while its doing its job, im just gonna go watch yt, or write next prompts i will be sending. etc.
it produces what i want, fast. and i do the part that i enjoy: fixing shit, and making things better. and feed my massive ego, be like "this is how its done". and also codebase can handle even more complex things later on.
cleaner codebase is also good for ai as well. sees lots of good examples in the codebase, makes it generate better code, better systems.
last time i did that i was a child, and trying to move the classroom door.
it broke and feel to the floor by itself.
