Good morning. It’s an open protocol so you can do and say what you prefer. But what is the backstory to saying Nostr vs the Nostr? #asknostr

Does anyone actually say “the web” anymore? I do not. Why does anyone care about what version of the internet we are using? I have no recollection of updating my internet over these last two decades.

I have been enjoying Nostr, and since I have an iPhone I’ve enjoyed Damus as my main client. I follow Will, Vanessa, Damus and others on the team. I am not on TestFlight Damus since it says it’s full (has been full for awhile). I do not know how I am not seeing their notes, but I just noticed there was an update for the pleb Damus app through the app. It said it now supports Damus Purple. Updated right away and paid for a year to support this great app and great team. Got a big bunch of red text indicating there was an error with the purchase. But it is showing up on my credit card, and when I check the Purple section in my settings I see a member number so I guess it did work? I’m sharing this longer-ish note in case others missed the announcement that you can now get Damus Purple if you just have the regular app. But also I’m sharing this because I’m confused why I did not see anything about this while using Damus all the time.

Rode around with a dude today who trades while working. After he brought up a couple stocks he was holding options on, I mentioned Bitcoin being a solid pick to hold for the long-term. He said he was going to wait till after April since he thought the halving was the same as a stock split. I showed him a pic of the block subsidies halving schedule and tried explaining this rule is set in code and cannot be changed. He said he had the chance to buy when it was $2,000. I told him to get some before it gets to $1,000,000. Whether I orange-pilled him or not, I feel good that I was able to inform him on one tiny aspect of Bitcoin and why it’s different than a company stock.

Hello @jb55 and @Damus Tried zapping a note and I see this in my Damus app Checked Primal and it doesn't see the zap, also checked Alby and its not there either. Is there a setting I need to tweak to get this to go through? First time seeing this yellow clock symbol.
