I just watched GLM-5.2 try the same thing 9 times in a row and get the same result without adapting one iota. #AI is awesome but anyone telling you it's fully developed has their hand in their pocket.
Still takes extreme skill and dedication to make it useful.

You need to be virtuemaxxing anon. Carpe diem.

My bellweather for AI replacing humans is Amazon. Trying to replace a kindle with a hardware defect - the AI/software does not come close to resolving things. That means there's definitely a ways to go.
You like James Burke?
His early work on *Tomorrow's World* was a little too conventional for my taste. But when *Connections* came out in 1978, I think he really came into his own, intellectually and artistically. The whole series has a clear, almost frightening vision of technological history, and a new level of confidence that gives the ideas a big boost. He's been compared to Carl Sagan, but I think Burke has a far more cynical, almost mechanical understanding of civilization.
In 'Connections,' Burke examines the seemingly random chain of inventions that culminate in the modern world. The episode's not just about technology—the hidden message is that no invention exists in isolation. It's also a personal statement about unintended consequences.
Hey, Paul!

See, most people think the steam engine caused the Industrial Revolution. But they don't understand that a medieval stirrup influences feudalism, which influences metallurgy, which influences precision machining, which influences steam power, which influences railroads, which influences standardized time, which influences telecommunications, which eventually gives us the semiconductor. And that's why history isn't a timeline—it's a dependency graph.
Try getting a coherent explanation like that from a history textbook.
