I just ordered another book on timber framing. I have several projects to do and timber framing seems like an interesting option. Plus I have timber available and I'm already into old fashioned hand tool woodworking. Where I'm kind of getting hung up is that I would like to do an infill that is breathable such as straw bale with natural plaster or something similar with good insulative value. According to one troll commenting on a diabetic who just got off their blood pressure medicine and all other medicines with the blessing of their doctor, "the carnivore diet can cause problems." I dunno, but assuming they have discovered something the rest of us aren't aware of, I guess if it gives a mobidly obese diabetic with very high blood pressure and an assortment of other problems another 50 years of health and vitality, maybe it's worth the trade off. *Shrugs* *goes back to eating beef.*

The current and coming world economic instability is difficult to predict or describe by a single parameter or variable. Be careful about reading too much into data points or even predictive models. Do your best to be prepared for a variety of possibilities. And timing is the hardest thing of all. Don't base your strategy on timing.

One of the more disappointing things about legacy social media is how it is tuned for reactions. One way we see this is how good questions very often go unanswered while the worst questions by the dumbest people get tons of responses. For example, in a restaurant group if someone asks a question about where to get a part for a piece of equipment and gives sufficient details to provide an informed answer, very often it won't even be shown to enough people to have a chance at getting an answer. And then when someone comes along and says, "Hey, my restaurant isn't, what do I do?" They get hundreds of responses and the dumb algorithms keep promoting it. #grownostr
