I got into smoking cigars like 20 years ago. I figured I don’t drink alcohol and wanted a defined gentlemanly hobby.. so I went cigar nuts. So I could smoke cigars in the house I bought this well reviewed ozone generate to combat the smell. It was like $300 - and when I got it, I was pretty disappointed at what a cheap device it is. After some months, it stopped working and I reached out to the company. It was out of warranty of course, but they offered me a 10% coupon on a new one. So now I’m like 500 bucks into this POS and a few months later it stops working again. Since I spent so much on the thing I never got rid of it. I just decided to pull this fucker out and take a look. There’s a device in these called a corona discharge plate. It works by using high voltage to split oxygen (O2) molecules into atoms, and then when they recombine they do it into ozone (O3) molecules. Yeah, it gets dirty. I just had to wipe it off. I spent a summer out in Utah during monsoon season trying to capture lightning storms. After about a month of standing out in the desert holding a big metal tripod on the top of a butte, I realized maybe that wasn't such a great idea. I'm still alive though.

I'm trying to post longform video to nostr and I'm not sure what the right way is. Obviously, just posting a link to youtube is the easiest, but I also set up an IPFS node as well as a couple blossom servers. I tried route96 as well as nostrcheck-server and while they both work for images, if I try to upload a larger mp4 file, the frontend pukes with: The requested file could not be read, typically due to permission problems that have occurred after a reference to a file was acquired. Does anyone know what this is about? I have plenty of storage and would prefer to host my own content, but I can't quite find the right way to do that. #asknostr #nostrcheck #video #blossom
