#LivingMyTruth This morning at the hotel in #Andorra, I spotted a girl who works here and immediately knew she was Dominican like me. I hesitated at first but decided to ask her. I'm so glad I did because she was indeed Dominican! We hugged at least five times, shared some laughs, and exchanged our thoughts. The emotion, love, and sense of belonging I felt afterward were indescribable. It's been four years since I left my homeland, the Dominican Republic. Being an immigrant really changes your perspective.
