Not looking to debase the alien vibe, but this is pretty good.

Could be another balloon.
**IF TRUE** let’s explore what the ÇÇP might be doing with a global balloon surveillance/warfare program:

Ordinals are the psyop diverting your attention from the more important development happening here

Do I understand correctly that ord is an overlay to superimpose numbers on "sats" which in fact are part of UTXOs and do not actually exist as a single sat?
This seems like a false construct, or at least a seriously forced one that will not withstand natural forces. Isn't it more accurate to say, "my jpeg is part of transaction ID in block # n?" Except if you send it to another address that all changes.
I don't think one sat will do it for me. I am just going to keep on stacking.
Time for a music break. Great chorus on this track. For those who haven't got the translate function yet, in English it's roughly, "You exist deep deep inside my mind, my dreams, my heart, the sound of my song." Pretty moving lyrics - look into the backstory.
Recently, on-chain transactions are more expensive - TRUE. The proportion of mining revenue this makes up is totally insignificant. Bigger blocks with slightly more expensive Txs helps miners - FALSE. (Don't say anything unless you've got skin in the game.) Taking up space and driving up the Tx cost has a disproportionate negative effect on the most marginalized people that bitcoin is helping - TRUE.
Surprised #[0] doesn't have a stronger voice on this. Waiting to see what happens with the trend over a longer period of time?
Also, I see my full node's disk space is growing at a faster rate than pre ordinal frenzy. However, storage space is super cheap, so not a huge deal. Just inconvenient to switch out or add more.
TLDR 🙄
Spent some time in an ordinals Twitter space today. Basically, by producing substandard "trading cards" as quickly as possible, people are trying to profit off bitcoin protocol's good reputation and growing adoption. Greed. Not innovation.
Their actions detract from bitcoin's reputation. Ordinals are being 'sold' in discord groups essentially to gamblers or speculators that think someone will value them more later.
Or, IMO, essentially a black market is forming or is already in place. Low IQ FOMO YOLO gamblers are getting scammed out of money, and some or many are not even provided with a monkey pic. Worse, more sophisticated criminals can easily buy and sell worthless crap to cover up illicit transactions from their illegal enterprises. Just think about it:
Jill and Bob rob a bank (or worse like traffic a child) for Boss. They use a bitcoin ATM to convert the cash into bitcoin. Boss sells them monkey pic #45 for the bitcoin. Sometime later, monkey pic is sold back to Boss for much less because now it is more obvious that monkey pic is trash. However, Jill and Bob now have their cut of the illicit proceeds. Or, even more likely, they want their money faster, and they sell Boss lower value crap pic #34583. Obviously, they are criminals because if they were smart, they would have just kept some bitcoin and sold monkey pic #45 to Boss less their cut or kept some cash and not converted it all to bitcoin. You get the picture.
Convince me this is not happening.
Just because someone found a clever way to take advantage of witness space does not mean there is space for such things in the bitcoin blockchain.
Is witness data an attack vector? Does it increase the chain’s attack surface? Important questions to address.

Lots of legit Chinese users 👍 Nostr is winning 🙌
Right now the global feed looks like a DDOS from spam bots. Nostr needs to be a pay to play platform. A few sats per post enough? What are people’s thoughts on this?

Good morning. Pray it forward.
After being on nostr for a few days, the difference in this platform and other social media driven by algorithms is absolutely clear. Refreshing. Nostr is the way forward. Freedom for your mind. The people you are around matter, true in physical space and in cyber space.
Nothing quite like the buzzing of cyberhornets in the morning.
