Despite all the back and forth, nostr is still your best decentralized bet for social media. Having zaps (and btc integration) w/o being in a network with a native token is an underestimated decentralizing force. I’ve been a part of the decentralization process on networks more than once… I do believe that nostr will scale the best for social media

Woah… wait, can an npub have the same functionality as a token would for voting on decentralized networks? Ie, instead of proof of stake or vote per token in your wallet, your npub just counts as 1 valid vote per voting epoch?

Again, I have no f idea what is going but my question is this… WoT is a client level bandaid for a larger spam problem…at the network level, I’m assuming this is correct? If so, then the problem is larger than just reply guy, also an assumption?because there are a 100m bots or more for every one of us If so, PoW would (reasonably) answer this question at the network level but would require hardware? Correct? Or at least… a built out node on a personal server? Or no? I hate to say this but a ledger that I used to adore had this issue with bots and there was a part of the code I think time leap… anyway, the network was fixed by making each “note” a tiny fractional cost… can this happen here? Say a sat a post/reply or something a little bigger than what bots would pay? Hardware can be expensive, a server alone was once a big deal for me but a fraction of a penny on a free wallet? What’s the working plan for verif functionality without X? I followed and unfollowed fake and real Jack at least 7 times (sorry bout that) and, ultimately, reloaded X to verify npub late to this game in my usual early adoption curve and I’m breaking and unbreaking everything to crash course through it all so recognize there are probably solution-focused strategies being planned.
