Crypto exchanges are casinos. Bitcoin is our chance to become the world reserve currency and money for any who choose to opt in to it. Everything else is a ploy to get you to depart with your bitcoin. There is no bigger opportunity than Bitcoin once you see it, it’s hard to unsee. There’s so much energy and attention going into bitcoin at this conference. It’s absolutely beautiful. I wish I never had a crypto phase. I gambled, thought I could outpace Bitcoin, got selfish and got REKT. Obviously not financial advice. Idk what I’m talking about.

⚠️There’s a reason Michael Saylor has 4% of the Bitcoin supply… …and a reason most Bitcoiners stay broke. Most people treat Bitcoin like a trade. The winners treat it like a video game with levels. And most never make it past the tutorial. 💥THE EXIT MANUAL – EPISODE #35

“Marine iguanas remind me how evolution sculpts life to meet the sea on the sea’s terms.” Found only in the Galápagos Islands, marine iguanas are unique among lizards for feeding in the ocean. Cristina Mittermeier @mitty captured this creature as it browsed on algae. image

Could the moon help launch the next evolution of space exploration? 🚀 Both the United States and China plan to build their own bases on the lunar south pole, thought to contain reserves of precious water that could be used to hydrate astronauts, grow crops, and make rocket fuel. The technology for this last application already exists but scientists still need to prove it can work in the moon’s extreme cold and low gravity. Find out how this future could become a reality and even help us reach Mars at the link in bio. Illustration courtesy of NASA/JPL-Caltech image

We asked for your best pictures and videos from the past year, and you delivered with everything from jaguars in Brazil's Pantanal to Slovenian snowscapes. We were blown away by the incredible stories you submitted to our #NatGeoYourShotPOY25 hashtag challenge! Swipe to see some of Nat Geo photo editor Anne Farrar's (@afarrar) favorite submissions. "The process was both exciting and challenging. I reviewed many images and kept returning to the ones that stayed with me visually and emotionally. Narrowing it down was tough—there was so much strong work. Each of the final images stands out for a different reason, they all have a lasting impact that continues to reveal itself over time. I’m especially drawn to images that offer surprise or show me something I wouldn’t expect myself. I love seeing how different photographers interpret the world—it’s like viewing it through their eyes," says Anne. Thank you to everyone who submitted to this challenge and all the others throughout 2025! Learn more about the stories behind these photos and videos at the link in bio. Photo by @javier_aznar_photography | A male Andean cock of the rock feeds high in the canopy: a flash of color in the cloud forest. This iconic bird (Rupicola peruvianus) is celebrated for its vivid plumage and courtship displays, yet it also plays a crucial ecological role. Native to the Andean cloud forests, it feeds mainly on fruits, dispersing seeds that help regenerate the forest. Though these birds occasionally eat insects or small vertebrates, fruit remains their primary food source, making them valuable allies in maintaining forest dynamics. The cock of the rock's presence signals healthy, undisturbed habitats, as it is highly sensitive to deforestation. Observing the birds in the canopy highlights not only their striking behavior but also the importance of conserving the Andean cloud forests—among the most biodiverse and threatened ecosystems in South America. image

How many steps should you be getting each day? The well-known 10,000-step goal may have begun as a catchy marketing gimmick, rather than a science-backed guideline. In fact, new research shows many significant health benefits begin well before reaching that number. Discover the new step-count goal and how it can help improve your health at the link in bio. Photographed by Mateusz Piesiak @mpwildlife in a wintry field near Wrocław, Poland, a brambling with vibrant plumage feasts on sunflower seeds. “At first glance, their orange plumage might seem to make them an easy target for falcons and hawks. But when the birds forage on a field like this, they’re invisible to predators.” image
