Did you all know the Somali UN Security Council President, the guy running the UN's hearings re: the US raids in Venezuela, is involved with a healthcare company guilty of Medicaid fraud in Ohio?
Just a fun fact.

Hey @npub1geta...0nfm, when self hosting alby hub how persistent does the nwc.db (or postgres) need to be? Like if that DB happens to get deleted, but the rest of the work_dir survives, upon reboot would it just rebuild the nwc database?
In my homelab persistent storage is provided by an NFS share. Right now the entire workdir is a share. But the sqlite queries are often pretty slow (likely from the NFS overhead. Trying to decided whether I externalize a postgres DB or just let the sqlite DB write to a truly local file on the computer node (where it would lose its persistence guarantees)
New home connection is possibly overkill

@npub1au23...t53j putting in some impressive work in opposition to @npub18vj0...ws2a article about Luke.
I do not claim to be smart enough to fully grasp every angle of this debate (probably something more folks on both sides should acknowledge), but in any case it's worth reading through his replies
What about social media has absolutely destroyed our sense of shame?

Good thing people haven't started using torrents for CSAM, they'd probably try to shut down the protocol!

Why does the spam debate always spark the most toxic behavior and dumbest takes?
My wife and I bought our first home today. Not as a financial investment, but as an investment in our family and our happiness.
It's not lost on us that this dream is increasingly out of reach for a lot of people our age. I feel incredibly lucky to have stumbled into /r/bitcoin all those years ago... One of those moments that splitners your timeline and changes everything. I'm a different person because of it, doing things I would otherwise likely struggle to do. Not just financially, but personally also.
Thank you Satoshi and thank you Bitcoiners. Never stop shining the light. Never stop stacking.

I seriously don't care if my local coffee shop wants to stack sats or not. I like their coffee.
I just want to pay with lightning.
What they do with their hard earned capital is their problem.
