On a different note, I'd like to introduce onRelay: a small Go library with plug-and-play storage and policies. Currently, the storage option only includes the atomic circular buffer I mentioned the other day, which is particularly useful for ephemeral events. There are also some useful policies for rejecting filters and events in your relay. The goal is to create a library that is compatible with different frameworks. Right now, you can use it with Rely and Khatru. You can find some examples and the code in the repository. Feedback welcome :)

I’ve nearly finished refactoring the DVMCP bridge, just a bit of polishing left. The major changes are already in place. The latest feature I added is payments for all capabilities, tools, prompts, and resources, with the ability to set individual prices for each capability 👀 It’s truly magical, and it achieves this with a fraction of the complexity faced by those working with current web standards for MCP payments. Nostr and Bitcoin are going to win this race, even with fewer developers (practically just me) and less VC money

The consensus rules in Bitcoin are fundamental and define the validity of transactions and blocks. To change them, a fork is required. Standarness policies, however, are more flexible guidelines that individual nodes use for transaction relay. This allows node runners to customise their behaviour without affecting the core protocol. This separation of rigid consensus and flexible standardness policies should remain. If something is valid by consensus, that's it, no drama needed.

"We live in a metrics obsessed culture that is obsessed with narrowly defined productivity. There's too much focus on accountability and too little focus on creativity. The reason why we don't have Bell Labs is because we're unwilling to do what it takes to create Bell Labs — giving smart people radical freedom and autonomy."
